The Whitecap Foundation works closely with grantees through the grantmaking process to understand the proposed program and organizational needs. To meet the needs, we make more than one million dollars in grants annually in the following areas: after-school, weekend and off-track education and family support.

The grantmaking process fosters an interactive working relationship that is supportive of the grantees' mission and goals. The process begins with a letter of inquiry to determine if the organization and program match Whitecap's areas of interest. If the foundation is interested, the organization is contacted for a site visit to discuss how the grantee and Whitecap might work together to support the potential grantee's program goals. The organization would then be invited to submit a full proposal for review.
